The online video streaming platform announced its new original programs at the year's first upfront in New York.

Hulu presented its new original shows at a presentation for TV industry ad buyers on Thursday. Among the new shows is The Awesomes, created by Seth Meyers (Saturday Night Live) and Michael Shoemaker; an animated series which revolves around a group of superheroes and their fight against villains and the paparazzi.
The online platforms original programming will also include Morgan Spurlock's A Day in the Life, Battleground and Richard Linklater's Up to Speed, as well as Don't Quit Your Daydream, based on Grenier's documentary feature, and Flow, a drama created by Michael Wendschuh.
In addition to presenting its programming, the company also spoke about its recent growth, stating US$ 420 million in revenue in 2011. And this growth doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon, as Hulu is allegedly planning to invest US$ 500 million in 2012 to acquire content
