The production company's main goal is to produce and distribute content internationally, focusing on adapting fiction formats. Resonant TV has accomplished this goal successfully, with projects such as Pobres Rico, its latest telenovela which premiered on Monday, May 7 at 8:00 PM on RCN and became its highest rated show.

"Two and a half years ago we decided to also inaugurate offices in Colombia with Guillermo Restrepo as our main producer in the field. He worked with RCN for many years and has great experience with adapting fiction formats such as De Pura Sangre, or the Colombian version of Los Roldán, which premiered successfully on RCN. Having partners in this level is one of the secrets," said Gonzalo Cilley.

Things may not come easy for independent production companies; the key to being successful -according to Cilley- is to have the right team of people as well as excellent writing. "That's something we spend a lot of time to develop," he said. "We are very aggressive in our search for local partners and co-production projects, in order to develop ideas we can develop from Argentina and export overseas," he added.

One of the most recent examples of this search is fiction series Erase una vez, "developed in Argentina with Argentine scripts, with a first version being shot in Spain. We haven't even presented a pilot, only a well edited trailer," said Cilley. The new fiction series is expected to make its debit on Antena 3 later this year, with the possibility of being adapted in France and Holland, "with the hopes of announcing a production deal in other places, including Latin America," he said.

According to the executive, the truth is that the company "works with about 5% of all scripted projects it's presented with. This is simply due to the fact that it's a long screening process, followed by all the development needed."
