Over a year since its debut, Moviecity's TV Everywhere platform -Moviecity Play- has reached an excellent number of subscribers: 60% of its total amount of clients has free access to its content online and through multiple devices. "More than half of homes with Moviecity enjoy our multiplatform product; the number validates the strategy we started a year ago, when we launched the free online service for Moviecity clients, Edgar Spielmann, president and CEO at Moviecity, said to ttv.

COMPLETE SERVICE One of the main aspects of this service is the possibility to customize the offer so that it adapts to the audience's needs and schedules, in addition to providing access to any of Moviecity's networks: a "complete service" including the company's SD networks, in addition to HD channels and 3D events.
"Each of our brands complements the platform's programming; with great live events (sports, shows and news) and a customized way of accessing content through multiple platforms," said Spielmann. According to the executive, Moviecity Play has had excellent results across the region and will continue to grow: "That's precisely where high-quality premium content will continue to generate the highest demand," he said.
ORIGINAL PRODUCTION This digital offer has over 500 titles, and will also include original productions by Moviecity, which will soon be announced: "It's not about filling the slate with content; it's about finding the best original scripts, the best talent and telling stories that entertain and generate buzz; that's why we believe we must produce at least 2 original projects a year. We are currently evaluating offers and scripts," he said.
FOCUS ON MEXICO Canitec in Mexico is something Moviecity has very high hopes for, since according to the executive, the country is lacking added-value pay TV services and HD networks, and sees a great demand for it: "Mexico has fallen behind in comparison to the rest of the Latin American markets as far as added-value pay TV services. That's why our strategy is to offer Moviecity Play and HD content," he said.
