Telenovela Río del Destino by Globo TV International, which won an Emmy for "Best Telenovela", premiered on Teletica in Costa Rica at 11:30 AM with excellent ratings.

The show was distributed in Albania, Portugal, South Korea, Uruguay and several African countries. The network already aired other hit shows by the distributor, such as Vivir la Vida, Cuna de Gato and Escrito en Las Estrellas.

Río del Destino, written by Walter Negrão (Deseo Prohibido), tells a love story tainted by an Indian curse. In it, Solano (Murilo Rosa, América) a brave man, kind man, and Estela (Cléo Pires, Cobras & Lagartos) a mysterious Indian woman who tempts fate in order to get close to her loved one.

Solano's curse condemns all the men in his family to die. Not knowing where he came from, he travels for the first time to his homeland and tries to break the curse.

With a talented cast and beautiful sceneries, Río del Destino was shot entirely in HD, with scenes shot in Goiás in Brazil.
