With over 11 years working in the industry, reaching all five continents and over 90 million households, Arirang TV is certainly a gateway into South Korean culture.

The company takes Korean content all over the world across its different channels, while also presenting international content to its audiences in Korea.

The network's Korean programming includes short telenovelas, documentaries, K-Pop music, cooking programs, Korean lessons, travel guides and live newscasts.

In Latin America, most of its programs are broadcast in English with Spanish subtitles, while those in Korean have English subtitles.

As part of its expansion strategy in the continent, Arirang TV attended the last edition of Andina Link, where a representative spoke to ttv.

"We are an international network from South Korea. We are a broadcast and free TV network," said Jin Myoung Lim, distribution representative for Arirang.

According to the executive, Arirang has two co-productions in store in the continent: one with Televisa for a culture program and one with Caracol TV to produce a reality show.

The reality show will focus on K-Pop (Korean pop music) and feature a Korean pop star.

"It's a way to connect with Latin American viewers," she said.
