This year, Global Agency was present at the LA Screenings for the second time: "We are new in the market; we have a lot of friends to meet," said the company's sales manager, Catherine Stryker, who spoke to ttv at the event and explained the company's strategy.

Unlike other markets such as NATPE or MIPCOM, the executive explains "the LA Screenings are open to social relationships; there's time to meet with buyers at cocktails and events," she said, highlighting the great performance of Global Agency's series and formats among buyers.

One of the company's announcements at the event was the presentation of its new format Lets Play Hangman, originally broadcast through SBT in Brazil, hosted by Silvio Santos. "The deal with SBT made us very happy since we have several clients who want simple game show formats; and we believe this show suits that request perfectly," she said, while also stating the company will soon sign several other deals for this product.

Global Agency also presented its series Magnificient Century, currently present in several territories. "We believe it will be very successful in Latin America," said the executive. In addition, the company presented another series called 1001 Nights, which was very successful at the market, "proving people know Turkish content works," she said.

"Yet their taking things slow," she stated, explaining the road to a sale has its difficulties, one of which is dubbing: "Many of our clients say programs are ok, they're interesting, but they ask us how many episodes we have in neutral Spanish," she said. "Dubbing is key when it comes to distributing a product," she concluded.
