Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) The Americas announced the appointment of Héctor Almaguer as VP and General Counsel. The news was announced by Scot McBride, head of operations at VIMN The Americas.
In his new position, Almaguer will supervise all comercial and legal operations for MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, Vh1 and other brands owned by Viacom in Latin America and Brazil, as well as Tr3s: MTV, Música y Más by VIMN The Americas USA.

"We are thrilled Héctor is joining VIMN The Americas," said McBride. "He has over 30 years of experience working in the entertainment industry in different fields such as copyrights, music, TV and movies."
Prior to joining VIMN The Americas, Almaguer worked as VP Legal Affairs at Universal Music Latin America, supervising the business in Latin America and the US. He then worked with Universal Music Grou in Los Angeles, California. He also worked at HBO Latin America Group and Fox Latin America Channels.
