Yahoo! will premiere two new web-series in 2012. The first -named Electric City- will be produced by Tom Hanks and premiered on the online platform sometime between March and April.

The series will include 20 episodes -3 to 4 minutes long- set in a seemingly peaceful, post-apocalyptic world. As stated by Yahoo!, most of its storylines will raise awareness on social issues such as the way we are using up our energy resources.

Meanwhile, the online platform also announced that Yahoo! Sports will co-produce a web-series called Blindsided alongside College Humor and Electus. The series will showcase practical jokes and pranks done to professional athletes. The first episodes will make its online debut on January 19, and will feature New York Nicks' star player, Landry Fields.
