The series will be produced by Vista Productions in Colombia. The local version of Brothers and Sisters will have the same treatment as A Corazón Abierto, which is why its expected to have the same results and also become a major production, and maybe even be adapted in other markets following its Colombian adaptation.
"The local versions of Brothers & Sisters will be broadcast across Latin America, given that the story and theme are completely relatable for our audiences," said Fernando Barbosa, SVP of Disney Media Distribution & Production Latin America.
"I'm quite pleased to be producing another TV project with Disney for Colombia. Over the past twelve years, we've had many success stories together. The most recent was A Corazón Abierto, and I have no doubt in my mind that Brothers & Sisters will engage audiences when its local version premieres," said Jamie Sánchez, GM at Vista Productions.
Brothers & Sisters tells the story of the Walker family, made up of five adult brothers and sisters living in California with their passionate mother. The Walkers must face a series of challenges related to romance, fatherhood, addiction and death, which occasionally push them over the edge. The original US version aired from 2006 to 2011.
