| Plataforma Inaugurates New Office in San Pablo |

Diego Álvarez's independent production company will announce the inauguration of its new office in the Brazilian city at this next NATPE. Plataforma already has other offices in Buenos Aires, Bogotá and Miami.

Diego Álvarez, COO of Plataforma Latin America -and producer, director and entrepreneur in the TV, music and advertising industries- will announce the inauguration of Plataforma Brasil, with offices in San Pablo, at this next NATPE. Adding to the company's other headquarters in Mexico City, Argentina -run by Sebastián Vinelli- and the US -run by Vicente Solís-, this new office in San Pablo will be in charge of producing in Brazil in 2012, with renowned producer and director Pedro Gorski as artistic director.
Since being inaugurated by Álvarez in 2005, Plataforma has worked on several projects including formats and content for TV, advertising and music, using both new and traditional platforms. Under the motto "from Latin America to the world", the independent production company will attend the next NATPE (January 23-25 at the Fontainebleu Hotel in Miami Beach) with new projects for the Latin American market, including docu-series, reality shows, cooking shows, animated and fiction series. Last year, the company created -alongside Resonant- Había una Vez, a fiction series format that's currently being produced in several countries.
Over the past few year, Plataforma shot and broadcasted concerts and DVDs for Julieta Venegas, Franco de Vita, Calle 13, Camila, Auténticos Decadentes and live streammings of Vive Latino, Paul McCartney, Shakira and Dj Tiesto, among others. The company also worked for Turner Broadcasting Latin America, Fox Latin American Channels, History Channel, Freemantle, Sony Music and Coca Cola.

"The reasons behind the inauguration of Plataforma Brasil are the need to complete the Latin American circle and the importance this country currently has within the region. Brazil is a country with an outstanding audiovisual evolution, which is why Plataforma intends to work hard in building an offer according to the special characteristics that make it stand out in the regional market, such as production of short and long formats, strong in-house post-production and distributing content in digital platforms," Álvarez said.
