OTT VOD Services Expected to Grow by 924%
 
The Dataxis consulting company has reported that over 11.5 million online streaming accounts are expected to be created in Latin America within the next five years.

Consulting company Dataxis has prepared a report on the future of the video streaming market by the end of 2016 across Latin America's seven most important markets: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Mexico, Peru and Venezuela. According to the report, 11.5 million new accounts will be added by 2016, pushing the total to 12.8 million accounts within the region, which translates into a 924% increase in just five years.

OTT services in Latin America appeared in 2009 and skyrocketed by 2011. 15 OTT's exist nowadays, which offer VOD services: Netflix, Terra and Totalmovie cover the entire region, and America Móvil and Bazuca intend to reach the same status.
