Argentina earmarks US$8.5 million to produce DTT content
 
The funds will be awarded through public tender organized by the Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales (INCAA) of Argentina.

The resources provided for by the Federal Planning Minister, Julio De Vido, and transferred to the Instituto Nacional de Cine y Artes Audiovisuales (INCAA) of Argentina, will be self contained shows, 13 episode fiction miniseries and eight documentaries, in all cases with a duration of 30 minutes.

The INCAA will be responsible for making the call for bids, which will be released next Monday the 19th, making the only condition for participation that applicants have a background as television producers.

The competition will have local and regional reach, the first stage of the project includes a national call by  region, six in total, of which five projects will be selected for those who will receive training, and then one will be chosen by area avoiding competition between large and small producers.

From the launch, the producers will have two months to submit their projects. Two months later, the winners will be announced, who will then have 120 days to produce. Thus insuring that the content will be aired early next year.
