Ever since its official premiere on Monday, June 4, 2012, Protagonistas de Nuestra Tele 2012 has grown the most among Colombian TV shows, becoming the leader in RCN TV from Monday, June 25 to Monday, July 2, becoming a hard competitor for other hit primetime shows such as Escobar: El Patrón Del Mal, El Desafío, Noticias Caracol and Donde Carajos está Umaña.

"Following the success obtained in 2010, and still being the third highest rated show in Colombian TV, we are proud to see how our format Protagonistas has become one of Colombia's best options," said Juan Pablo Santos, New Business VP at Imagina US.

Being the show's fifteenth edition, and the fifth to be produced in Colombia, Promofilm US continues to invest in Colombian TV with talent and commitment.

The format's success continues to expand internationally. The Mun2 TV network is currently broadcasting the second season in the US, produced in 2003, in which Cuban Willian Levy soap opera star was discovered.
