The local premiere of Dallas, based on the 1980's series, reached 6.8 million viewers and became the number one fiction series in pay TV in 2012, surpassing last year's premiere of Falling Skies (5.9 million viewers). While the series is based on a 30-year old project, the new Dallas attracted plenty of young viewers: 1.9 million among adults 18-49 and 2.4 million among adults 25-54.
Starting June 18, the new series will air in Latin America every Monday at 10:00 PM on Warner Channel, with only a one-week delay with the US. Based on one of the most popular shows from the eighties, the series mixes love, lust, greed, money and power, in the story of the Ewin family.
The Ewings -with original cast members in the parts of J.R. Ewing, Bobby Ewing and Sue Ellen Ewing- are joined by a new generation: Josh Henderson (Desperate Housewives), Jesse Metcalfe (Desperate Housewives), Jordana Brewster (Fast & Furious), Julie Gonzalo (Veronica Mars), Brenda Strong (Desperate Housewives) and Callard Harris (Sons of Anarchy), with Patrick Duffy (Dallas), Linda Gray (Dallas) and Larry Hagman (Dallas).

During the series' first ten episodes, the sons of rivaling brothers J.R. and Bobby continue with the rivalry as they fight for the Ewing empire, Southfork ranch and the future of Ewing Oil.
Dallas is produced by Cynthia Cidre, writer of The Mambo Kings and producer of Cane, who also wrote the series' pilot. Michael M. Robin (The Closer) is also a producer and directed the pilot. Dallas was created by David Jacobs and produced by Warner Horizon Television.
