Turkish national TV is one of Tedial's largest projects. The Spanish tech company continues its international expansion through its most recent deal with Turkish network TRT (Turkish Radio and Television Corporation), to renew its content catalog.
In collaboration with Datateknik, the project has set a new challenge for Tedial, given the high demands as far as automation and functionality.

Turkey is a market filled with possibilities and a strategic geographic location, from where it's easy to expand onto new market.
TRT is the first and only public TV in Turkey, created in 1964, with over seven networks (TRT1, TRT2, TRT3, TRT GAP, TRT4, TRT INT and TRT TURK), four national radio stations (Radio 1, 2, 3 and 4) and five regional.
TRT is currently negotiating several international licensing deals in the region. It's a very interesting region due to the high number of TV operators, which are now carrying out their first digitalizing projects," said GM Tedial José Mesas.
One of Tedial's main goals is to digitalize TRT's portfolio, with close to 50 years worth of footage.
Over 10,000 hours of video footage and an estimated 100,000 hours of material is what the Turkish network currently owns, including several formats. Along with Datateknik, Tedial has installed a system that radically changed TRT's production, with a complete transition into tapeless, HD production, and several systems to ensure the content's quality is protected (Omneon intake system; Tektronik Cerify Quality Control, Civolution NextGuard Content protection; Avid Interplay Production systems and Apple FinalCut, and HS-Art Diamant content restauration).
In order to do this, Tedal has provided TRT with a complete solution to generate product, integrating all these components.
