The online content revolution -VOD, multi-platform strategies- knows no limits; and kids are a major audience in this industry. Online users keep getting younger and their knowledge of new technologies allows them to choose the content they like best.

In this scenario, Toon Goggles presents itself as an IPTV platform in the US with content aimed at kids, which now seeks for the right deals and partnerships to expand internationally.

"Toon Goggles is an IPTV solution for children. It fits into the TV Everywhere market. We add children's content from all over the world, all parent friendly. We currently have over 700 hours of content on our website; we have apps that are built for IOS Android," Stephen Hodge, EVP New Media, said to ttv.

Said apps is currently only available in the US and Canada, and allows content to be accessed more easily through several devices such as smartphones, tablets and connected TVs. It will soon be launched for Android and distributed across the globe.

Currently, the best option for those users outside the US and Canada who wish to access their content is through their website: "100% of our content is available in the US and Canada, and 80% of our content is available worldwide," he said.

Toon Goggles priorities at the moment are two: find partners to add content for their catalog and market the platform on an international level.

In order to add content to their catalog, the company allows for content to be uploaded by any rights owner, major production and distribution companies, as well as independent producers.

"This is the future of media. Currently parents turn on the TV for their kids to watch cartoons. Soon they'll have a platform connected to the TV such as Toon Goggles, with the difference that kids will have hundreds of options to choose from, to watch whenever they please. It's an idea I believe has a very bright future and so far our partners seem to agree," he said.

The executive also stated the platform will run with broadband and 3G, which makes it even more appealing, while also stating the diversity of languages within its content.

"The content available in other languages does have English subtitles. In the near future we will launch a site to allow multiple languages. It can be an excellent way for kids to learn new languages with their parents," he concluded.
